Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 October 2026These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Wazobia mobile app and related services ("Wazobia", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Wazobia's wallet and payment features. You are responsible for providing accurate information when you register and complete identity verification (KYC).
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your passcode, device, and phone number secure, and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at support@wazobia.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Wallet & payments
Wallet funding, transfers, and bill payments are processed through licensed third-party payment partners (including Flutterwave). Transfers, limits, and fees may be subject to the rules of those partners and applicable Central Bank of Nigeria regulations. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of payment services and are not liable for delays or failures caused by third-party payment providers, network issues, or events outside our control.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Wazobia to:
- Send unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harassing content.
- Attempt money laundering, fraud, or any illegal financial activity.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Interfere with or attempt to compromise the security of the app.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and may report suspected financial crime to the relevant authorities.
5. Content
You retain ownership of the messages, photos, and other content you send through Wazobia. You're responsible for what you share, and you grant us the limited right to store and transmit it so the app can function (for example, delivering your messages and media to the people you send them to).
6. Termination
You may stop using Wazobia and request account deletion at any time — see our account deletion page. We may suspend or close your account for violating these Terms or applicable law, or if required by a regulator.
7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Wazobia is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
